Comtest has recently completed together with the local partner Comtest Romania Srl the construction and verification of an EMC test facility for ANCOM, the Telecom Authority of Romania, located in Brasov.
The test facility consists of a fully compliant, semi anechoic 3 m chamber, a shielded room to house control equipment and perform conducted EMI/EMS measurements, an amplifier room, and a shielded room to perform SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) measurements.
The 3m SAC was verified and fully complies with the CISPR 16-1-4 (2010) + A1 (2012) and IEC/EN 61000-4-3 standards. Verification of telecom apparatus can be performed in a thorough way in this new facility, from the spurious emissions test in the 3m chamber to the assessment of its SAR in the dedicated shield-room.
The 3m SAC is lined with an hybrid solution consisting of ferrite tiles and 45 cm polystyrene absorbers, model HT-45. Microwave absorbers model MT-25 are applied to the floor for performing the sVSWR tests between 1 and 18 GHz.
