Comtest Engineering and its partner for Denmark and Iceland, Nortelco, recently supplied an antenna chamber to the University of Reykjavik. The room has dimensions of 6 m long x 3.6 m wide x 2.625 m H and has the walls, ceiling and floor fully lined with polystyrene microwave absorbers MT-25. The floor is equipped with walk-over inserts WWA-MT25, which create an easy access to the AUT without interfering with the measurements and degrading the performance. The University will utilize the chamber for the research and development of new telecommunication antennas.
This is also a milestone as the first anechoic chamber built in Iceland and Comtest thanks the Customer and its partner Nortelco for the cooperation, which has led to the success of this project.
